Richmond is full of gorgeous buildings. Take a walk around your neighborhood and look at the homes, the features they have, the details you're drawn to. Take in those special homes you notice when you slow down. Remember those thought, because Kent will want to know what about those homes drew you in to design and build your custom project.
Second Step: Quotes
What is a Quote for a Build?
We put time and care into our quotes to ensure we can get you the most details possible for your custom build. If you decide to hire us for the job, the quote charge is discounted from the total job.
All Quotes include:
- Kent coming out to the job site in person
- One-on-one time with Kent to discuss final design and details
- A detailed estimate
Not ready for a quote just yet?
No worries! Feel free to give us a call. There is no charge to talk through a potential project with Kent over the phone.
We say 15 minute phone calls, but Kent's passion will likely keep you on the line for 30-45 minutes discussing a project.
Start you Quote
Quotes start at $200 and can range to $1,000, depending on the scope of the project. If you hire us for the build, the quote charge is discounted from the project total.
Third Step: Estimate, Contract, and Scheduling
The Estimate
The estimate is what Kent will send you when you've paid for a quote. It is a document that includes two main components of information: the Scope of Work and the Invoice. Below are the details included in these;
- Design for the project
- Total cost of the project
- Materials list
- Permitting needs
- Schedule and timeline
The Contract
Once you and Kent have agreed on the scope of work, Kent will send over the Contract for your signature.
You're almost at the finish line with your build!
Schedule the Job
Kent will reach out to coordinate scheduling the job once the contract has been signed and any down payments fulfilled.
Fourth Step: Project Commencement and Finalization
Project Commencement
Each build will be different. Some builds involve Kent building things in his shop and then installing them--custom doors.
Some are onsite at the client's home for the entire build--a built in bookshelf
During the Build
No two sticks are identical and neither are projects.
Each project is unique to what you, the client, wants--each project will be different. If you have questions at any point throughout the build, please don't hesitate to ask Kent.
The contract is a good reference as it contains information specific to your project.
Finished Job = Happiness
